ApeosWare Copy Protection

ApeosWare Copy Protection allows users to specify watermark setting for each print job. There are two Watermarking functions in ApeosWare Copy Protection, which are Analog and Digital functions. These functions can prevent the original/confidential documents from being illegally copied.

Analog Function

ApeosWare Copy Protection adds a simple watermark or a patterned background containing hidden images/texts that will appear as embossed or whiteout when copied.

Digital Function

ApeosWare Copy Protection adds a patterned background containing hidden copy-protection codes/Digital codes information as well as analog hidden texts. MFDs that have Paper Security Kit can stop copying/scanning with a fault when they detect the embedded copy-protection code. When users do not copy with such MFDs, they will notice that the document must not be copied because the hidden analog text will have appeared on the copy.

Analyzer

ApeosWare Secure Watermark Analyzer is optional software module to trace and analyze hard copy document from files scanned with a designated scanner to retrieve and displays the embedded digital code information of these files. Digital code contains information is embedded in the hard copy document as Secure Watermark using device Watermark feature or ApeosWare Copy Protection in the printed documents. Information such as Serial Number, User ID, Document name, Client IP Address, etc can be retrieved to track roots of information leakage.
